“Cleaning snow off my car!” – Nobody Ever
Donald Hargray, a 65-year-old retiree probably smiled as he cleaned dozens and dozens of cars off at Ste-Justine Hospital last weekend.
Hargray said he appreciates hospital workers’ hard work, as he had a kidney stone removed at the hospital years ago and his daughter now works as a nurse.
In total, he cleared the snow off 150 cars between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., returning on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning as the snowstorm continued.
Hargray says he wants to encourage other people to spread kindness. He is now looking for volunteers to help him shovel out cars for the rest of the winter and to help with another project in the spring.
You don’t have to live in Montreal to spread kindness. Take a piece from Hargray’s playbook and we bet you’ll find your own way to say, “Thanks!”
